TEI Adds Andersen to their Agenda

Tax Executives Institute (TEI) is the preeminent association of in-house tax professionals worldwide. Members are business executives who are responsible for taxation matters on an administrative or policy-making level, or whose work is otherwise primarily concerned with the challenges of business taxation. TEI members are accountants, lawyers, and other corporate and business employees who are responsible for the tax affairs of their employers in an executive, administrative, or managerial capacity.

The New Jersey chapter of TEI will hold a full day seminar on November 18, 2016 at the Meadow Wood Manor in Randolph, NJ. Chuck Chubb, Chris DeVoe, Ken Zemsky, Ray Freda & Sonny Ankrah are speaking.​ Chuck and Chris will discuss ETR Impact of Acquisitions, FIN 48 Change vs. Error and ASC Disclosures. Ken, Ray and Sonny will cover State and Local Tax topics.

Chuck Chubb is the Andersen National Practice Leader for ASC 740 Services and has over 30 years of experience advising a broad range of clients on accounting for income taxes and U.S. Federal, State and International tax technical issues. He is also part of US National Tax for Andersen. 

Chris DeVoe has over 14 years of tax experience, in both public and private practice. He specializes in providing ASC 740 and tax operations services, with a focus on assisting clients in implementing global best in class processes. In addition, he has extensive experience in all areas of the tax life cycle, including journal entry preparation and quarter close procedures through the filing of Federal and State corporate tax returns and the subsequent return to provision analyses.

Kenneth Zemsky specializes in multistate corporate and personal income taxes with a concentration in New York State and New York City tax law. He has over 33 years of experience and primarily works with multistate corporate taxpayers with presence in the tri-state area, high net worth individuals, alternative investment funds and owner- operated businesses.

Sonny Ankrah has over 16 years of experience in providing consulting services on matters such as state income/franchise taxes, multistate practice and procedure, gross receipts taxes, and tax credits and incentives. He serves clients in a wide variety of industries, including financial services, retail, manufacturing and real estate. In addition, he has coordinated large state and local tax engagements for REITs, partnerships and other financing entities.

Raymond Freda has over 19 years of experience in state and local tax and advising clients with respect to income/franchise, capital, gross receipts, sales and use, property, employment and other state industry specific excise taxes. His corporate clients range from early stage to Fortune 100 companies and he provides the following services: tax compliance, tax planning and restructuring, voluntary disclosure agreement advisory services, audit defense and negotiated settlement representation. In addition, Raymond leads a dedicated tax litigation practice which represents clients at various state administrative tax adjudicatory forums.
