Tauber and Ankrah Presenting at TEI NJ Chapter Seminar

Tax Executives Institute (TEI) is the preeminent association for in-house tax professionals worldwide. The New Jersey Chapter of TEI will host a full day seminar on May 11, 2018 at the Meadow Wood Manor in Randolph, NJ. Andersen Managing Directors, Jim Tauber and Sonny Ankrah, will co-present at the seminar. The topic of their presentation is "Cutting Edge Concepts: Apply Sales Tax Rules to Evolving Business." Presentation discussion will also include sales tax collection obligations, virtual currency and other related tax issues.

James Tauber has more than 30 years of experience providing accounting, tax, technology and consulting services in various areas of state and local indirect tax. Specifically, Jim assists companies with most aspects of indirect/transaction tax compliance and planning including: tax controversies (audit defense, appeals, settlement negotiations), outsourcing, exemption certificate management, M&A (sell-side, buy-side, due diligence and post-transaction integration), nexus reviews, procedure/policy manuals, process review/automation, refund analysis, Sarbanes-Oxley consulting (process documentation, testing & remediation), tax determination tools, tax software implementation, training, transactional analysis, and voluntary disclosure/amnesty participation. 

Sonny Ankrah is a member of Andersen’s State and Local Tax practice. He has over 16 years of experience in providing consulting services on matters such as state income/franchise taxes, multistate practice and procedure, gross receipts taxes, and tax credits and incentives. Sonny serves clients in a wide variety of industries, including financial services, retail, manufacturing and real estate. He has coordinated large state and local tax engagements for REITs, partnerships and other financing entities.

TEI members are business executives who are responsible for taxation matters on an administrative or policy-making level, or whose work is otherwise primarily concerned with the challenges of business taxation. TEI members are accountants, lawyers, and other corporate and business employees who are responsible for the tax affairs of their employers in an executive, administrative, or managerial capacity.
