Andersen to Speak at TEI Portland Chapter Meeting

Tax Executives Institute (TEI) is the preeminent association of in-house tax professionals worldwide. On March 19, a team of Andersen Directors and Managing Directors will lead a TEI Portland Chapter meeting in Portland, OR. The Andersen team includes Mark Wood, Don WilliamsJin Choi, and Dave Anderton. The meeting will provide an update on state and local tax including the Wayfair decision and its effects, tax reform (updates on the treatment of GILTI, 199A, etc.) and other general state updates. 

Mark Wood is a Managing Director in the State and Local Tax practice in the Seattle office. He covers the Portland market as well. He has over 21 years experience advising clients on state and local tax issues. Mark has advised clients on state and local tax issues in the area of income, franchise, sales, use, property, unclaimed property, and payroll tax. 

Donald Williams has over 27 years of experience working for international accounting firms advising clients in a variety of areas. Donald has significant experience in assisting companies in reviewing their entity-level income & franchise tax; sales & transaction tax returns and identifying opportunities related to their taxes.

Jin Choi has over 11 years of multi-faceted tax experience providing State and Local Tax consulting services to U.S. and international businesses. Jin assists companies in identifying tax savings and implements tax planning strategies to minimize sales, use, gross receipts, and state income (franchise) tax burden.

Dave Anderton is a Managing Director in Seattle’s Commercial Practice group but also covers the Portland marketplace. He specializes in Federal Tax and provides advisory, compliance, and provision services to clients. Dave has 28 years of experience in tax consulting.
