Andersen to Host TEI Breakfast Meeting
Tax Executives Institute (TEI) is the preeminent association of in-house tax professionals worldwide. Members are business executives who are responsible for taxation matters on an administrative or policy-making level, or whose work is otherwise primarily concerned with the challenges of business taxation. TEI members are accountants, lawyers, and other corporate and business employees who are responsible for the tax affairs of their employers in an executive, administrative, or managerial capacity.
TEI’s New York Chapter Breakfast Meeting will take place March 24, 2017 at the Americas Tower in Manhattan, NY. The session will include two separate panels. One will cover international tax reform and will discuss adoption of a territorial system, a border-adjusted corporate tax system or other measures. The second panel will review the new Section 987 regulations and explore the scope of these new rules, opportunities and pitfalls they raise with use of examples encountered by our members as well as how to transition to the new rules. Managing Directors Andrew Bernard, Chuck Chubb, and Michael Hirschfield will participate.
Andrew Bernard has over 32 years of experience with U.S. and international tax matters. His international practice areas include taxable and tax-free international mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings for U.S. and non-U.S. based corporations, partnerships and S corporations.
Chuck Chubb is the Andersen National Practice Leader for ASC 740 Services and has over 30 years of experience advising a broad range of clients on accounting for income taxes and U.S. Federal, State and International tax technical issues. He is also part of US National Tax for Andersen.
Michael Hirschfeld focuses on corporate, international and partnership tax planning and compliance. Michael has over 40 years of experience with tax issues that affect partnerships/LLCs, REITs, cross-border investing, real estate acquisition, finance and investment, private equity, distressed debt, mergers and acquisitions, pharmaceutical, energy, pharmaceutical and clean technology clients.
