Andersen Sponsors Fundraising Dinner for Greenhouse Scholars
Andersen is proud to sponsor The Community Table. The annual celebrity chef farm dinner benefiting Greenhouse Scholars, will take place on June 9, 2018 at Elawa Farm in Lake Forest, Illinois. Greenhouse Scholars is an education non-profit that cultivates extraordinary leaders to change low-income families and communities.
The evening will include a cocktail reception on the lawn of historic Elawa Farm followed by an intimate dinner prepared by Chef Aaron Cuschieri, Executive Chef of the The Dearborn in Chicago. Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy the opportunity to meet several Greenhouse Scholars from Illinois and hear their stories.
Greenhouse Scholars provides professional, personal, and financial support throughout college for students who have overcome great challenges such as homelessness, poverty, violence, and other dire circumstances to become leaders in their schools and communities. Once accepted into the program, scholars receive professional networking, peer support, mentorship, internships, financial support (in the form of tuition scholarships and “flex funding” grants), skills modules, a strategic impact framework, and an annual Summer Symposium.
