Rebecca Venters has over 15 years of experience with tax and financial matters that impact entrepreneurs, private equity principals, families with multigenerational wealth, and high net worth individuals. As a Managing Director in the Private Client Services group, Rebecca’s primary practice areas are federal and state tax consulting and compliance for individuals, partnerships, trusts, family offices and private foundations. She has extensive experience working with founders and investors in the technology sector, particularly concerning tax optimization of stock positions.

Rebecca’s practice emphasizes comprehensive tax planning for families, tailoring solutions to help them achieve their wealth transfer and estate planning goals. Rebecca has assisted her clients with:

  • Qualified small business stock (QSBS) planning, such as exclusion stacking and Sec. 1045 rollovers
  • Family office structures, including selection-of-entity analysis and financial modeling for management fee and carry purposes
  • Gift and GST planning to achieve life goals with tax efficiency
  • Fiduciary planning involving decanting, particularly for state tax issues
  • Favorable private letter rulings from Internal Revenue Service on matters such as obtaining late election relief for initial entity classification and allocation of generation-skipping tax exemption
