Student FAQs

What are the hours that I should expect during busy season?

Overtime hours vary based on client loads and time of year. Interns should expect a fair number of overtime hours during busy season.

What type of training programs are offered at Andersen?

Firmwide and local office programs have been developed for Interns and Associates. Interns and Associates are provided access to firmwide webcasts and self-study content from third-party resources. For more information click here.

Does Andersen have a mentor program?

Yes! Stewardship is a core value of the Firm and we want to make sure that from the very start, everyone has an opportunity to build a lasting, mentoring relationship with someone of their choosing. You will select your Mentor and they will share their knowledge and expertise, offer guidance, and help you achieve your goals and aspirations.

Does Andersen assist with student loans?

Student Loan Repayment Assistance is offered through Gradifi and helps employees pay down up to an additional $12,000 of student loan debt. Eligible employees will receive $100/month towards their student loan for 5 years with a $6,000 trailer at the end of the 5 years. All regular employees working a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible for this benefit, beginning the first day of the month following the date of hire.

Does Andersen support the CPA Exam?

At Andersen, we encourage employees to pass the CPA Exam as soon as possible. The firm assists in this process by offering exam preparation materials through Becker CPA Review, expense reimbursement for exam fees, and a cash bonus award for those who pass the CPA Exam within the first two years of employment.
