Eric Anderson Presenting at the COST 48th Annual Meeting

The Council On State Taxation (COST) is the premier state tax organization representing taxpayers. COST is a nonprofit trade association consisting of over 600 multistate corporations engaged in interstate and international business. COST's objective is to preserve and promote equitable and nondiscriminatory state and local taxation of multijurisdictional business entities.

COST’s 48th Annual Meeting is October 22-25, 2017 at the Hilton Bonnet Creek in Orlando, Florida. Eric Anderson, Andersen Managing Director, is presenting on the topic of “Alternative Apportionment and Internal Consistency.” Eric will be speaking on the change to market-based sourcing and alternative apportionment and distortion cases overlaying the internal consistency doctrine.

Eric Anderson leads the San Francisco Bay Area state and local tax practice of Andersen. He focuses on income tax planning and compliance, sales and use tax transaction planning, mergers and acquisitions, franchise tax matters, and administrative tax controversies. Eric has extensive experience with unitary tax planning, business and non-business issues, and entity structuring to manage multistate tax liabilities. Eric also serves as an Andersen firm-wide resource for credit and incentive consulting, including negotiated incentives related to company expansions and training activities, as well as statutory tax credits. He has helped clients obtain refunds for a variety of statutory credits aggregating millions of dollars.
