Andersen to Provide a Tax Update at ACS Seminar

Mary Duffy, Sonny Ankrah, Chuck Chubb and Denise Clark will be providing a Tax Update at the upcoming ACS Financial Accounting & Reporting Update 2016. The seminar takes place December 19 - 20, 2016 at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. With an unprecedented level of major accounting changes from US and international standard-setters, Andersen will cover the latest developments in key areas of tax.

Mary Duffy is a Managing Director in Andersen’s US National Tax office and is the co-leader of Andersen’s accounting methods team. Mary also advises clients on tax policy and legislative matters and is a frequent speaker. She has years of experience practicing before IRS National Office handling accounting method change and ruling requests and works with businesses of all sizes and structures, including managing accounting methods implementation projects, advising on issues arising in IRS examinations, and consulting on the financial statement implications of such issues under Accounting Standards Codification 740.

Sonny Ankrah is a member of Andersen’s State and Local Tax practice. He has over 16 years of experience in providing consulting services on matters such as state income/franchise taxes, multistate practice and procedure, gross receipts taxes, and tax credits and incentives. He serves clients in a wide variety of industries, including financial services, retail, manufacturing and real estate.

Chuck Chubb is the Andersen National Practice Leader for ASC 740 Services and has over 30 years of experience advising a broad range of clients on accounting for income taxes and U.S. Federal, State and International tax technical issues. He is also part of US National Tax for Andersen. 

Denise Clark is a member of Andersen’s State and Local Tax practice in Philadelphia and has over 20 years of experience in accounting and taxation in both industry and client service.  She assists companies with state income, franchise and indirect taxes including compliance, research, nexus reviews, tax refund opportunities, research tax credits, audit defense, and voluntary disclosure.
