Andersen Managing Directors Speaking at TEI Seattle Chapter December Meeting

Tax Executives Institute (TEI) is the preeminent association of in-house tax professionals worldwide. Members are business executives who are responsible for taxation matters on an administrative or policy-making level, or whose work is otherwise primarily concerned with the challenges of business taxation. TEI members are accountants, lawyers, and other corporate and business employees who are responsible for the tax affairs of their employers in an executive, administrative, or managerial capacity.

The Seattle TEI Chapter monthly meeting takes place on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 11:30am-5:00pm at The Bellevue Club in Bellevue, Washington. The following Andersen Managing Directors will be speaking at the event: Chuck Chubb (USNT), Mary Duffy (USNT), Stuart Ison (International), Dennis Minich (USNT), Wayne Trumbull (SALT). These Andersen speakers will be discussing the topic of “ASC 740 Accounting for Income Tax.” In this meeting, participants will learn more about ASC 740 issues in M&A and the impact of proposed tax reform on tax provisions.

Mary Duffy is a Managing Director in Andersen’s US National Tax office and is the co-leader of Andersen’s accounting methods team. Mary also advises clients on tax policy and legislative matters and is a frequent speaker for Tax Executive Institute, BNA seminars, Andersen’s Family Office Roundtables and other events.

Chuck Chubb is the Andersen National Practice Leader for ASC 740 Services and has over 30 years of experience advising a broad range of clients on accounting for income taxes and U.S. Federal, State and International tax technical issues. He is also part of US National Tax for Andersen.

Stuart Ison is a member of Seattle’s Commercial Practice group. He has 29 years of experience in tax and has strong knowledge in all aspects of U.S. and international tax planning, including complex cross-border projects, intellectual property migration, and tax treaty planning. Stuart’s other specialties include foreign tax credit planning, tax efficient supply chain planning, and advanced pricing agreements.

Dennis Minich has over 38 years of tax experience and is part of US National Tax for Andersen. Dennis specializes in compensation and employee benefit issues, primarily relating to qualified retirement plans, nonqualified plans, employee health and welfare benefits and executive compensation.

Wayne Trumbull, Managing Director in Andersen’s Long Island office, has over 15 years of tax experience all focused on advising clients with respect to complex state income and sales and use tax matters. Wayne’s primary focus is serving middle market companies.
