Jonathan has over 19 years of experience providing international tax advice to U.S. and non-U.S. clients. His clients include public and private companies, investment funds, partnerships, and S corporations.

Jonathan advises on international tax matters including:

  • International expansion outside the U.S. and into the U.S.
  • Acquisition and post acquisition structuring
  • Cross-border M&A
  • Subpart F and foreign tax credit planning
  • Tax treaties
  • U.S. and non-U.S. tax reform, including the impact of the OECD base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) initiative
  • Cash repatriation
  • U.S. tax reporting

Jonathan has substantial experience serving clients in the manufacturing, real estate, financial and professional services and energy sectors. He also advises private equity and sovereign wealth funds. 

He is an adjunct professor of international tax at DePaul University in Chicago.

Jonathan started his career at a Canadian law firm and prior to joining Andersen, he most recently worked in the international tax group at KPMG.
