• Designing strategies to meet clients goals with regard to state tax liabilities pursuant to corporate reorganizations.
• Consulting with clients regarding complex sales/use, income/franchise, and B&O tax issues and planning opportunities.
• Evaluating potential income and franchise and sales/use tax exposure attributable to a client’s multi-state activities and securing voluntary disclosure agreements on behalf of clients to mitigate such exposure.
• Advising clients regarding acquisition due diligence, including identifying the potential state and local tax implications associated with proposed acquisitions.
• Assisting clients in tax audits, including federal income tax and multi-state income, franchise, sales/use and B&O taxes.
• Preparing requests for rulings and advisory opinions regarding state statutory interpretations and regulations.
