Gerald D. DesRoches
Jerry DesRoches has over 30 years of experience with tax and financial matters affecting entrepreneurs, private equity and hedge fund principals, executives and wealthy individuals. Jerry helps families develop state-of-the-art customized income tax and estate planning solutions. Jerry serves as the Regional Managing Director for the Eastern Region and also serves on the Board of Directors. He has previously served as the Chair of the Compensation Committee and as Managing Director of the New York Metro practice.
Before joining Andersen Tax, Jerry was a Tax Partner at Arthur Andersen. In addition, he holds the CLU and ChFC designations. Jerry has led discussions on webcasts of the American Institute of CPAs and has spoken before numerous groups, including the Connecticut Bar Association, the National Business Institute and the Committee of Banking Institutions. He also has published articles in industry and trade publications including the Daily Deal, the Metropolitan Corporate Counsel, and the Connecticut Society of CPAs Quarterly, and has been featured on several financial programs, including CNN’s Your Money, Money Matters and Money Talks.
Jerry is also a member of the Trust, Estate and Gift Taxation Committee of the CSCPA. He has taught project business and applied economics courses to community organizations and is a former member of the Board of Directors of the University of Connecticut Foundation, and in 2012 was inducted into the University of Connecticut’s School of Business Hall of Fame.
