More About Mark

What activities do you like to do outside of the office?

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending my time golfing, hiking, and going to the beach.

How would you best describe the culture at Andersen?

I believe that Andersen encourages an entrepreneurial culture. It has a strong support system, working with all employees to find an avenue for their success. If you have a desire to try something different within the firm, your peers and supervisors will give you the support you need in order to achieve your goals. This strong support system is evidenced through the firm’s mentoring program. My mentor was the person who suggested that I focus more on Transfer Pricing and Research & Development. Because of his helpful suggestions, I was able to join USNT. In addition to my official mentor, I also have unofficial mentors involved in different service lines across different offices. As a whole, all of these people have been supportive of my career and instrumental to my success at the firm.

Describe your career path and how your chose Andersen.

I was attracted to Andersen because of its holistic approach to tax. When I first joined the firm, I was working in a local office focusing on both individual and corporate tax clients. However, after two years, I transferred to USNT where I could focus my efforts on Transfer Pricing.
